Overview
Komani Lake is one of the great boat journeys of the Balkans — a fjord-like reservoir hemmed in by near-vertical mountains, opening onto the Shala River, often called "the Thailand of Albania" for its clear turquoise water. Shala River Albania has run guided tours here for 8+ years, departing daily in season (May–September) from Shkodër, Komani Lake, Fierzë, Valbona and Theth. Day tours include the scenic boat ride, guided river access and free swimming time; multi-day packages and private charters are also available. Booking and current departures via the partner's site.
